The First Step to Taking Charge of Your Future
Southwest Secondary Learning Center provides a self-guided alternative to the traditional classroom for students who want more freedom and flexibility in their academic life.
As a tech-based high school, students learn through a combination of classroom lessons in a computer lab, hands-on projects in the interactive STEAM lab, and dual enrollment opportunities for college credit. If that sounds like what you’re looking for, we welcome you to apply by clicking the button below.
Once you click “Apply Now,” you’ll be taken to a brief application page that asks for some basic information about the student. After you submit the form, your application will be shuffled into a lottery. SSLC will draw from these randomized applications until all attendance slots are filled. Transfer students coming in outside of the normal registration period will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Once an application has been drawn, a member of our admissions staff will reach out with an offer and let you know the next steps. All families must attend a registration appointment prior to beginning classes.
If you’d like more information about our school or wish to schedule a tour before applying, call us at 505-296-7677. Or, you can read our step-by-step application guide for answers to some frequently asked questions about our application process.
Southwest Secondary Learning Center is a tuition-free public charter school open to all high school students grades 9-12 in good academic standing. Our enrollment policies prohibit discrimination based on disability, race, creed, color, gender, national origin, religion, or need for special education services. If our capacity is reached, new students are enrolled through a lottery process, except for siblings of currently enrolled students and children of staff members who are given priority access.
